Sydney’s Hayes Theatre, arguably the most important thing to happen to Australian musical theatre in decades, is set to announce the cast of the Australian premiere of Side Show in a few weeks. Can’t wait that long? Don’t worry, we have some exclusive footage from the audition process!
Side Show, with with book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger, this musical about sisterhood is based on the real-life twins Daisy andViolet Hilton, the highest-paid stars of vaudeville in the 1930s.
This week, take a peek at Debora Krizak (Anything Goes, A Chorus Line) and Rowena Vilar (Anything Goes, Sweet Charity) in their audition tape – total twin material, obviously – as they work for the chance to play the world’s most famous conjoined twins in this cult musical.
