Well Swung
Downstairs at the Maj continues its 2012 Cabaret Soirée season with Nick Christo’s Well Swung. Fresh from his critically acclaimed The Fabulous Frances Faye, Western Australian born Christo’s new show will include jazz standards and pop songs in a musical mash up combined together with razor sharp jibes.

Morning Melodies kicks off its second season with the female star of Doctor Zhivago, Lucy Maunder. Performed on the main stage of His Majesty’s Theatre, Lucy will sing a selection of tunes from the songbook of Irving Berlin on Wednesday July 25. The season will continue with Viva’s Spanish Fiesta on Wednesday 3 October and finish with the bother and sister team of Tod Johnston and Trudy Dunn, as they pay tribute to their parents – Perth theatrical legends – Jill Perryman and Kevin Johnston.

After the success of Rising Water, Black Swan State Theatre Company presents the second of Tim Winton’s plays, Signs of Life.
Signs of Life is the story about people with uncertain futures, in a country where nobody belongs, and everyone’s fate seems to have been determined by those who came before. Directed by Kate Cherry with a cast including Helen Morse, George Sheutsou and Pauline Whyman.
