After 40 non-stop years of entertaining audiences around the world with his concerts, television shows, musicals and theatre, Aussie rock icon Jon English is bringing his latest hit production, The Rock Show, to South Australia by popular demand! For two SA shows only, join the star of Jesus Christ Superstar, Against the Wind, The Pirates of Penzance, and Altogether Now, along with a 9 piece troupe of multi-talented young musicians and singers, on a spectacular journey through the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Covering two decades of classic rock music in one night of amazing rock theatre, the show features songs from such acts as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zepplin, Queen, The Kinks, Cream, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Elton John, Mamas and The Papas, AC/DC, just to name a few … and of course Jon English!
With his brilliant sense of comic timing, English delivers the history of rock in a show that has had Australian audiences everywhere raving. “I’m amazingly proud to be a part of this show”, says Jon, “People come along to see me, not really knowing what to expect, but they invariably leave saying they are just blown away by the world class young talent on stage.”Don’t miss the theatrics, the history, the humour – the unique experience that is THE ROCK SHOW, and rediscover the music that shaped a generation.
