Rock of Ages Rocks Brisvegas

Last Sunday, Rock Of Ages hit the stage at the Lyric Theatre QPAC and blew the socks of critics and audiences alike. Brisbane’s hot rock A-list was on hand for the spectacular opening night of the hit Broadway musical including international singing sensations, The Veronicas. Rock of Ages, the fast paced, popular 80s rock musical enjoyed an extended run at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre before transferring to the QPAC for a limited run (13 November until 18 December 2011). The show was set to open in Sydney in January, but producers have postponed the third stop citing the “current economic climate” as the deciding factor.   “Rock of Ages will reschedule its Sydney season at a later time,” Producer Rodney Rigby (of Newtheatricals on behalf of the producing group) said in a recent statement.  Rock Of Ages continues to rock the house at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC until 18 December – so head on down to see the show! It’s a brilliant night out!  Tickets are on-sale now from qpac.com.au or 136 246. Photo by Jeff Busby
