Fundraising night for Cystic Fibrosis research

AussieTheatre.com Managing Editor, Troy Dodds, is hitting the road later this year as part of the Great Escape Car Rally, which raises money for research into Cystic Fibrosis.

The Cystic Fibrosis Australia Great Escape Car Rally is a car rally with a difference. In the seven years the rally has been running, competitors have visited Great Keppel Island, world heritage listed Fraser Island, the Red Centre and Ayres Rock, the Birdsville Races, the beautiful Whitsunday’s and the magnificent Great Ocean Road.

This year, the rally is heading to the NSW outback.

“Given I’ve never put up a tent, it is certainly going to be an interesting experience,” Dodds said.

“It’s all for a great cause though and I am going to see parts of Australia I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.”

To raise additional funds ahead of the rally, a special fundraising night is being held at the Penrith RSL on Thursday, September 24. It has a rock ‘n’ roll theme and all profits will go to Cystic Fibrosis Australia.

There’s prizes to be one and you can meet the entire team from Car 74.

For details on the night, call Dave on 4731 4072.
