New Cast Members Announced for Les Misérables in the West End

New cast members will join the West End production of Les Misérables next month, with producer Cameron Mackintosh confirming a series of casting changes at the Sondheim Theatre.

From 2 February 2026, Harry Hepple will step into the role of Thénardier, joined by Lizzie Bea as Madame Thénardier. The role of Éponine will be taken on by WhatsOnStage Award nominee Jess Folley, marking her debut in the long running production.

The new arrivals join a company that already includes Ian McIntosh as Jean Valjean, Sam Oladeinde as Javert, Thiago Phillip Felizardo as Marius, Joe Griffiths-Brown as Enjolras, and Izzi Levine as Cosette.

As previously announced, Lucie Jones will return to the role of Fantine from Monday 19 January until Saturday 11 April 2026.

The wider ensemble is completed by Hollie Aires, Aidan Banyard, Ella May Carter, Nicholas Carter, Matthew Dale, Irfan Damani, Lily De-La-Haye, Lila Falce-Bass, Sophie-May Feek, Jessica Johns-Parsons, Seán Keany, Chris Kiely, Sam Kipling, Mia Lamb, Sarah Lark, Ollie Llewelyn-Williams, Matthew McConnell, Aaron-Jade Morgan, Adam Pearce, William Pennington, Jordan Simon Pollard, Lewis Renninson, Danielle Rose, Georgia Tapp, Noah Thallon, Imaan Victoria, and Danny Whelan.

Les Misérables is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, based on the novel by Victor Hugo. The production features orchestrations by Stephen Metcalfe, Christopher Jahnke and Stephen Brooker, with original orchestrations by John Cameron. Direction is by James Powell and Laurence Connor, with design by Matt Kinley inspired by the artwork of Victor Hugo.

Costume design is by Andreane Neofitou, Christine Rowland and Paul Wills, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Mick Potter, and projections by Finn Ross and Fifty Nine Productions. Musical staging is by Geoffrey Garratt, with music supervision by Stephen Brooker and Alfonso Casado Trigo.

The production is currently booking performances through to October 2026.
