War Horse Australia Launch – photo feature

War Horse, the stage play adapted from Michael Morpurgo’s book of the same name, has enjoyed critical acclaim across the world in its relatively short life.

After premiering in October 2007 at the The National Theatre of Great Britain, transferring to the West End’s  New London Theatre in 2009 and opening on Broadway in 2011, the show garnered so much attention it was made into a film by Steven Spielberg.

Australian audiences have only 8 months to wait until this beautiful show comes to Melbourne, set to open at the State Theatre, Arts Centre on Monday 31 December.

Tickets are on sale from Monday 23 April via Arts Centre Melbourne and Ticketmaster.

AussieTheatre will be featuring an interview with puppetry director, Finn Caldwell, early next week and a special piece about the official launch in Melbourne. But until then, take some time to look at the images we have of this multiple Tony and Olivier Award-winning show which has been seen by millions of people world wide!
