Squabbalogic fundraises in style: for one night only (February 29) at the Seymour Centre in Sydney, they will present a staged reading of a musical theatre classic. Which classic? Who knows! The audience won’t find out until they’re in their seats and the curtain goes up.
What we do know is the cast, so take a look at the line up (it’s pretty great), start making your guesses, and grab your tickets for the show!
The musical will be directed by Dean Vince (Triassic Parq) and feature musical direction by Hayden Barltrop (Grey Gardens).
The musical will star Debora Krizak (Anything Goes), Jakob Ambrose (Sweet Charity), Laurence Coy (Man of La Mancha), Courtney Glass (Of Thee I Sing), Catty Hamilton (Hair), Bobbie-Jean Henning (The Fantasticks), Drew Livingston (War Horse), Lauren McKenna (Heathers), Matilda Moran (The Original Grease), Laura Murphy (Hello, Dolly) and Garth Saville (A New Brain).
The show will also feature an ensemble comprised of students and alumni from the Australian Institute of Music: Natalie Abbott, Kiarateuila Bahamondes-Mckibbin, Georgia Burley, Levi Burrows, Todd Emmett, Kim Foelmli, Kelly Goddard, Katelin Koprivec, Tom Lattimore, Ibrahim Matar, Clare McCallum, Hamish McColm, Scarlett McGrouther, India Mitchell-Fletcher, Jonathan Nash-Daly, Olivier Rahmé, Zach Selmes, Donald Shearman, Olivia Clare Vasquez and Jake Williamson.
Squabbalogic’s Mystery Musicals raise funds to keep the company doors open, producing completely independent musical theatre. For tickets and more information, click here.
