The Crucible

A thrilling and chilling portrayal of how religious fundamentalism can take hold of a society and destroy the lives of the innocent. Set in Salem, a small village in Massachusetts, in 1692, petty rivalry and mistrust turn neighbour against neighbour, friend against friend and even child against child. In the courtroom common sense it thrown out and replaced by fear and vengeance.
