Managing Carmen Opens October in Brisbane
Managing Carmen is a show about a man. A 23 year old who has it all – a promising career as the captain of one of the most famous football clubs in Australia, a beautiful girlfriend, and two Brownlow medals.
The problem is, occasionally, Brent Lyall likes to dress up in woman’s clothing.
David Williamson’s latest hilarious installation for the Queensland Theatre Company holds a mirror up to the personalities we’ve all come to love and hate – trophy wife, the what ever it takes type of business man and of course, the flawed footy hero.
Brent’s agent Rohan Swift goes into damage control to prevent the truth about his star client from coming out.
With the media already getting a whiff of the story, the humiliation of a public outing would spell the end of the athlete’s career, not to mention all the money they’re making as a team.
Directed by Wesley Enoch the cast includes Tim Dashwood and Greg McNeill.
