Academy Award winning actor, Kevin Spacey, treads the boards tonight at the Lyric Theatre, The Star in the eagerly awaited production of Richard III.
Of The Harbour City and in anticipation of tonight’s opening, Kevin Spacey said, ?“It’s fantastic to be back in Sydney once again. It’s exciting that this time I’ve brought with me an incredible company of actors in Richard III and hope they too enjoy their time in Sydney as much as I know I will.”
NSW Minister for Tourism, Major Events and the Arts George Souris welcomed Kevin Spacey and The Bridge Project Company to Sydney, the only city in the Southern Hemisphere to stage this world class production.
“The NSW Government through Destination NSW is proud to support Richard III, a key international arts event on the 2011 NSW Events Calendar. I’m sure the cast will have a memorable time performing in Sydney and there’s no doubt Richard III will be remembered as one of the best theatrical productions performed in our city,” he said.
