A production of Jekyll And Hyde that features primarily an Australian cast will not play in Korea in January as planned.
The musical has already played overseas in the latter half of 2009 but was to return in January.
Produced by the Australian-based Tim Lawson, confusion spread amongst the cast in early December when an extension of the show’s tour was confirmed, and then cancelled.
It is still possible the show will play overseas during 2010 and may even play in Australia.
Amongst the Australians appearing in the show were Belinda Wollaston (pictured, right), Lucy Maunder, Barry Langrishe, Hayden Tee, Melle Stewart, Andrew Conaghan, Emily Paddon-Brown and Brianne Turk, amongst others.
American Brad Little was playing the lead role.
Lawson’s company, TML, is expected to confirm early next year whether the production has a future.
