Jasmine announced for Aladdin The Musical

Arielle Jacobs: Jasmine

Aladdin The Musical announced yesterday that Arielle Jacobs will play the role of Jasmine in the upcoming Australian production, headed to the Capitol Theatre.

The broadway actress has previously appeared as Nessarose in WICKED, Nina Rosario in In the Heights, Nina in High School Musical, and the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods.

Arielle’s brother, Adam Jacobs, is currently appearing as Aladdin on Broadway. Knowing how proud their parents would be, Disney helped them put together a special surprise. Watch the video below to see how they learnt the news.

Casting Jasmine was the final piece in the puzzle for Aladdin Australia and Arielle completes the previously announced cast. Read More: Aladdin cast announced.

  • It's a nice story Disney, but why an American casting? I am sure there would have been plenty of Australian Musical Theatre graduates that auditioned that would be suitable for this role!
