Here’s to one hell of a lady – Elaine Stritch passes away, age 89

Broadway royalty Elaine Stritch has passed away aged 89, reports the New York Times.

The actress, who spent seven decades on the stage, made her last Broadway appearance in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music in 2010 and will be remembered as the sharp tongued, brassy broad who held audiences in the palm of her hand.
