Genesian Theatre 2025 Season Launch

It is an exciting and momentous occasion for the Genesian Theatre Company as we launch our 2025 season, the first to be performed at our brand new home in Rozelle. The launch event will take place at our historic 420 Kent Street venue before the evening performance of JANE EYRE on Saturday, 2 November and you are invited to celebrate with us.

For 80 years, the Genesian Theatre Company has been entertaining audiences, making us one of the longest running companies in Sydney. As well as sharing stories and building  community, we are immensely proud of the role we have played in nurturing theatrical talent, both on and off the stage.

In 2025 the Genesian Theatre Company will honour both our legacy and an exciting new future.

Not only do we celebrate 80 years as theatre-makers, we open our brand new theatre in Rozelle. We use this opportunity to uphold the values and traditions that are so important to Genesians, whilst infusing some new energy, new ideas and a new lease of life as we move into a new space and join a new community.

Our first show in our new venue is now on sale: AN INSPECTOR CALLS by J.B. Priestley, opening Saturday, 11 January. A celebratory evening for the Birling family is interrupted by the arrival of the mysterious Inspector Goole. As an investigation unfolds, it is revealed that each family member played a part in the death a young woman. A twist on the typical

“whodunnit”, the play explores the deeper question of “what caused it”.

To find out what else is programmed for 2025 we invite you all to join us for the official 2025 Season Launch where we will unveil more of our dynamic lineup of productions. The launch will take place at our current venue, 420 Kent Street before the evening showing of Jane Eyre on Saturday 2 November.
