The Annual Cabaret Showcase is set to present a new line-up of cabaret talent in Sydney this December.
Now in its 7th year, this years Showcase promises to be the biggest yet. This annual event, produced by Your Management, is the chance for aspiring cabaret and musical theatre talents to showcase their abilities in front of an audience and before judges including Australia’s leading entertainers and entertainment industry professionals.
The Showcase has built a reputation for the high standard of its performers and as a springboard onto Australia’s professional theatrical stages. Past winners include James Millar (Company, Green Room Award winner Oklahoma), Nick Christo (Fiddler on the Roof, Titanic, The Mikado) and Elenoa Rokobaro (Respect The Musical, High School Musical).
All past winners are now well established in the professional world of theatre and cabaret.
Last year’s winner Sheridan Harbridge was a standout, her “commanding presence”, as the Sydney Morning Herald described it, won her the annual event.
Showcase producer Jeremy Youett said: “It’s an initiative I strongly believe in, giving performers at all stages of their career the opportunity to Showcase their ability and I’m proud to be presenting it again in its 7th year.”
