Broadway and West End star Sierra Boggess to play Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne

Andrew Lloyd Webber said “she has one of the most sublime voices I have ever worked with” and “the best Christine.” She starred in The Phantom of the OperaThe Little Mermaid, and School of Rock. She’s Sierra Boggess, and she’s coming to Australia to perform for the very first time.

In June 2017, this radiant performer can be seen at Sydney’s State Theatre (Saturday 3 June), QPAC’s Concert Hall in Brisbane (Thursday 8 June), and Hamer Hall in Melbourne (Saturday June 10). Her show will bring her bright voice and bubbly personality to the stage. If you’ve only seen her perform on DVD or on youtube – and even if you’ve never seen her perform at all – you’re in for a treat.

Sierra was to star as Christine in Phantom of the Opera in Paris, but a fire at the theatre has delayed the opening.  Even though the musical is based around the Paris Opera House, it is the first time the famed musical would have been staged in France.  Sierra will perform the role entirely in French when the venue re-opens.

Sierra has been nominated for Drama Desk Awards, Drama League Awards, Laurence Olivier Awards and others.  She has performed in concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall with a host of stars and music theatre luminaries including Josh Groban, Nathan Lane (Tony Award winner and star of The Producers) and Julian Overdon (Downton Abbey & Person of Interest) at the BBC Proms.
