Broadway Unplugged announces winners for heats 5 & 6

AussieTheatre and Broadway Unplugged are thrilled to announce the winners of Project X heats 5 & 6.

broadway_unpluggedblack_sliderCoral Mercer-Jones (heat 5) and Charlotte Kerr (heat 6) have been voted as the winners of Sydney’s hottest new open mic night and both performers will have the chance to compete in the Project X Grand Final, where a host of prizes are on offer.

The winner of the grand final will receive their own solo cabaret showcase at the Vanguard in Newtown, produced by James Anthony Productions and promoted by AussieTheatre.

Project X is a singing competition designed to identify and support talented new musical theatre performers and to provide them with both live performance opportunities and valuable industry exposure.

A joint initiative of Broadway Unplugged and Aussie theatre, the competition is aimed at providing a platform for the development of future Australian musical theatre artists.

Broadway Unplugged recently launched in Melbourne with guest performances from the casts of Jersey Boys and King Kong and has also been embraced by the Brisbane musical theatre and arts community.
