Boston Marriage – Video ‘Behind the Seams’ tour of the Wardrobe Department.

Opening tonight at QPAC’s Playhouse Theatre is David Mamet’s American comedy, Boston Marriage.

Presented by The Queensland Theatre Company, the three-hander stars Amanda Muggleton, along with Rachel Gordon and Helen Cassidy.

Directed by Andrea Moor, winner of a Matilda Award for directing the sizzling production of Venus in Fur for QTC in 2013, Boston Marriage is a sharp witted play that chips away at the pretensions of high society and class distinction, while exploring the compromise needed to keep a marriage alive.

The Wardrobe department has been especially busy for this veritable frock fest, with the cast donning a number of custom-designed period costumes. Queensland correspondent, Bobbi-Lea, was invited for a special “behind the seams” tour with Vicki Martin, Head of Wardrobe at the Queensland Theatre Company headquarter, as they prepared for the production.

Check out the video to see the detail that went into these stunning costumes:

Boston Marriage  will be on at QPAC’s Playhouse Theatre till 15 February. For more information, visit QTC’s website.
