The place to be this New Year’s Eve is with the Australian Pops Orchestra at Hamer Hall. Some of Australia’s most beloved voices including Caroline O’Connor and Mark Vincent are joining John Foreman and the much-loved Australian Pops Orchestra for The New Year’s Eve (& The Day Before) Gala Concerts on 30 and 31 December 2026.
Multi award-winning, internationally renowned Broadway musical theatre star Caroline O’Connor brings her dazzling stage presence and showstopping vocals, fresh from the world’s great stages. Joining her is Australia’s favourite tenor Mark Vincent, the golden-voiced singer who captured the nation’s heart on television and with his chart-topping albums. The final special guest artist will be announced later in the year.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with John Foreman and the Aussie Pops Orchestra a couple of years ago, so I am absolutely thrilled to have been invited back to celebrate New Year’s Eve with John and all the magnificent musicians at Hamer Hall in Melbourne .
John Foreman is a national treasure and it is a privilege to perform with him and his Australian Pops Orchestra. They always bring joy, laughter and happiness to every audience that attends. He really knows how to entertain a crowd.
Mark Vincent:
I’m very honoured to be part of the Aussie Pops Orchestra with the Maestro, John Foreman. To be part of a very special event on New Years Eve in Melbourne, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else than with my dear friends.
John Foreman:
I love spending New Year’s Eve with our wonderful audience at Hamer Hall. It’s a truly joyful experience for everyone and a brilliant showcase for the magnificent musicians of the orchestra. I’m absolutely thrilled that Caroline O’Connor and Mark Vincent will join us this year. They are both superstars who will bring pizzazz, style and wonderful music to our new year celebrations. I can’t think of a better way to ring in 2027.
This legacy event, now in its 46th year, is a joyful celebration of Broadway hits and orchestral classics, featuring outstanding guest artists and the Dana Jolly Dancers, all set against the full, glorious sound of a 60-piece live orchestra.
Together, they will take the audience on a journey through the music that defines a celebration: soaring musical theatre classics, timeless love songs, and the operatic anthems that never go out of style.
Available exclusively for guests attending the December 31, 8:00pm show, audience members have an opportunity to make it a night to remember with a Fireworks After-Party, including drinks, canapés, and a stunning view of Melbourne’s midnight fireworks from the Leaper Family Pavilion balcony. Fireworks After-Party tickets sold separately.
