RPG Productions today announced the cast for their upcoming April production of Big Fish.
Directed by Tyran Parke, choreographed by Cameron Mitchell and musically directed by Luke Byrne, the John August & Andrew Lippa musical marks the production company’s first main stage production at Hayes Theatre Co.
Leading the cast will be Phillip Lowe (Georgy Girl, Blood Brothers, High Society) as Edward Bloom and Katrina Retallick (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Adams Family, A little Night Music) as Sandra Bloom. They will be joined by Adam Rennie (Prodigal, Love Never Dies, Flashdance [US & Canada tour]) as Will Bloom and Kirby Burgess (Heathers the Musical, Grease, Wonderland) as Jenny Hill.
Rounding out the cast will be Brendon Lovett, Alessandra Merlo, Aaron Tsindos, Joel Granger, Seth Drury, Brittanie Shipway, Zoe Iaonnou, Zachary Webster, Sam Wood and Brendon Godwin.
Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish centres on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest (and then some!) Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.
Overflowing with heart, humour and spectacular stagecraft, Big Fish opened on Broadway in 2013 and reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.
