Be bewitched by BETWIXT at Metro Arts
After a sold-out season as part of the 2022 Mad Dance Festival, Betwixt returns to beguile Metro Arts audiences with an explosive, elemental theatrical performance highlighting the ever-evolving artform of street dance for storytelling and artistic expression.
Blending movement with poetry, Betwixt, by local dance collective Pink Matter, explores rich cultural perspectives from different backgrounds, delving into everything from relationships and upbringing to identity and self.
Propelled by the power of community and collaboration, audiences will be mesmerised and moved as the five artists become heightened versions of themselves embodying the elemental energy of water, air, fire, earth and spirit.
Betwixt is a vibrant, moving theatrical work by Pink Matter that celebrates diversity, connection, identity and inclusivity in artistic expression.
Metro Arts CEO and Artistic Director Jo Thomas said the multidisciplinary art space is thrilled to work with Wanida Serce and Pink Matter again to present this fierce performance piece.

Wanida Serce, the director and a performer in the work, is a powerhouse talent, whose company, Pink Matter, presented with Metro Arts when we opened our new theatre in 2020, becoming our company-in-residence in 2021.
Betwixt premiered to sold-out audiences in 2022 and we look forward to presenting this work again at Metro Arts in March 2023 after its Adelaide Fringe Festival season 1
