The Aussie Flim Flam Japanese Burlesque Revue – A Cultural Exchange

The Aussie Flim Flam Japanese Burlesque Revue are taking a troupe of cabaret and burlesque artists to Tokyo for one week in November to experience and share their culture and art with their Japanese sisters. In support of this cultural exchange, a collection of Melbourne’s finest Burlesque performers are donating their time to raise the necessary funds.

The Flim Flam Fundraiser will be held in Melbourne, at the Butterfly Club and to give a preview to Melbourne audiences of what will be in store once the troupe arrives in Tokyo.

The Aussie Flim Flam is a rambunctious troop of Australian artists who will delight and entertain Australiana and Japanese audiences through comedy, drag, circus, and classic tease. The genesis of the cultural exchange was sparked by Producer and Performer Caterina Vitt on one of her many visits to Japan. During a wonderful experience at a regular burlesque show in Tokyo, Miss Vitt was possessed of the need to share her experience with other Australian artists.

To help support the entirely self-funded exchange, a number of Melbourne artists will donate both their time and some fantastic prizes for an incredibly entertaining one off fundraiser. Raffle tickets will be sold each night and will be drawn on the final night of the short season. Each show will play host to upwards of 10 incredible performers, with a changing lineup for each night.

Including:

Caterina Vitt, Adelaide Everheart, Honey B. Goode, Leasa Man, Willow J, Dolores Daiquiri, L’Amour the Lady Provocative, Domino De Jour, Jessamae St James, Bobby Blue, Lucky Dip, Ginger Leah Rye, Lou Le Belle, Lissy Lavette, Charlie D. Barkle and Miz Martini.

The Flim Flam Fundraiser will be an unmissable example of Melbourne’s resurgent burlesque movement. Tantalising, hilarious, risque and of unparalleled quality, this production is expected to sell out, so bookings are highly recommended.
