The Celebrated Musical ‘Come From Away’ Embarks on its Inaugural UK and Ireland Tour

The highly acclaimed musical ‘Come From Away,’ renowned for its heartwarming narrative and compelling score, has officially announced its cast for the upcoming UK and Ireland tour. This tour represents a significant milestone as the first of its kind for the multi-award-winning production, which has garnered praise from audiences and critics alike across the globe.

‘Come From Away’ intricately weaves the verbatim stories of individuals stranded in Newfoundland in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, providing a poignant and uplifting portrayal of humanity’s capacity for kindness in times of crisis. The musical has captivated audiences with its engagements in the West End, Broadway, Canada, Australia, and during a 60-city tour across North America.

The ensemble cast features a remarkable array of talent, including Natasha J Barnes, noted for her performance in ‘Hex,’ taking on the roles of Janice and others. Daniel Crowder, celebrated for his work in ‘Mamma Mia!,’ will portray Nick, Doug, and others. Mark Dugdale will bring life to the characters of Kevin T, Garth, and others, following his acclaimed performance in ‘The Book Thief.’

The cast also includes Rosie Glossop, Amanda Henderson, Kirsty Hoiles, Oliver Jacobson, Dale Mathurin, Nicholas Pound, Sara Poyzer, Bree Smith, and Jamal Zulfiqar, each delivering multi-faceted performances in various roles.

The supporting company comprises talented artists such as Angeline Bell, Daniel Cane, Ashleigh Harvey, Alyn Hawke, Kathryn Pemberton, and Kevin Yates, adding depth and versatility to the production.

The creative team behind this tour is led by the formidable duo Irene Sankoff and David Hein, responsible for the book, music, and lyrics, with Christopher Ashley at the helm as director. The team also includes Kelly Devine, Ian Eisendrath, Beowulf Boritt, Toni-Leslie James, Howell Binkley, Gareth Owen, David Brian Brown, and many more, each bringing their unique expertise to ensure the production’s success.

The tour is set to open at Leicester Curve from 1 to 9 March 2024, subsequently travelling to various prestigious venues across the UK and Ireland, including Liverpool Empire, Millennium Centre Cardiff, Theatre Royal Plymouth, and many more, before concluding at The Lowry in Salford on 5 January 2025.
