Mean Girls Reveals Premiere Dates and Specifics for Upcoming West End Shows

The hit show Mean Girls is finally making its grand entrance on the West End, and we can hardly contain our excitement! All the action is unfolding at the fabulous Savoy Theatre, and tickets are available as we speak.

This musical is a delightful throwback, inspired by the iconic Lindsay Lohan film that has a special place in our hearts. The storyline follows a young girl navigating the tumultuous landscape of American high school after her return to the U.S. The show first graced the stage in Washington in 2017, swiftly making its way to Broadway in 2018.

Tina Fey, the brilliant mind behind the script, has teamed up with Jeff Richmond for the music and Nell Benjamin for the lyrics. Together, they’ve infused the production with all those memorable lines from the movie that we can’t help but love. The musical numbers, including Meet the Plastics, Apex Predator, and Revenge Party, promise an unforgettable experience. At the helm of it all is the talented director, Casey Nicholaw.

But the experience goes beyond just watching an amazing show. The Mean Girls team is also offering a series of matinees specifically designed for schools and community groups, ensuring that everyone has a chance to enjoy the production. On top of that, there will be workshops and Q&A sessions centered on anti-bullying and empowerment. Keep your eyes open for information on a ticket lottery as we approach the premiere date.

The previews are starting on June 5, 2024, building up to a grand opening night on June 19, 2024. For those interested in matinee performances, they’re scheduled for Thursday, June 13; Saturday, June 15; Friday, June 21; and Saturday, June 22, all at 2:30pm. Starting from June 24, matinees will be a regular Friday and Saturday feature.

As for the cast, we’re all on the edge of our seats, as the final decisions are yet to be made. So, make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter to stay in the loop and catch all the latest updates.
