The Broadway hit is poised to open soon for a strictly limited engagement at the Savoy Theatre, running from 15 January to 31 March 2024.
Matthew Broderick, a two-time Tony Award winner, and Sarah Jessica Parker, a two-time Emmy Award winner, headline the production under the direction of Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey. ‘Plaza Suite’ has generated significant buzz, especially after its successful 19-week run in New York, where it shattered box office records at the Hudson Theatre and ranked as the third-highest grossing play revival in Broadway history.
In an exciting move for theatergoers, the production will offer a ticket lottery throughout its run, making a limited number of £40 tickets available for each performance. This online weekly lottery, excluding the first week of performances, will be conducted every Monday via the production’s website. Each performance will feature ten front-row stall tickets in the lottery.
The ensemble cast joining Broderick and Parker includes Rohit Gokani as The Waiter, Charlie Oscar as Jean McCormack / Mimsey Hubley, and Eric Sirakian in the dual roles of Bellhop / Boden Eisler. Additional cast members are Nick Barclay, Caroline Sheen, Jamie Coyne, and Hannah Morrison, serving as understudies and standbys for various roles.
The creative team for ‘Plaza Suite’ boasts an array of award-winning talent. The set design is by two-time Tony Award winner John Lee Beatty, with costume design by Tony Award winner Jane Greenwood, lighting by five-time Tony Award winner Brian MacDevitt, and sound design by Tony Award winner Scott Lehrer. The production also features original music by Tony Award winner Marc Shaiman and casting direction by Jim Carnahan.
‘Plaza Suite’ is produced by a consortium of prominent theater production companies and individuals, including Ambassador Theatre Group Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions, Hal Luftig, James L Nederlander, Douglas L Meyer, Elizabeth Armstrong, Hunter Arnold, Caitlin Clements, Eilene Davidson Productions, Jeffrey Finn, Terry Schnuck, Smith and Brant Theatricals, Sherry and Kirk Wright, and Mike Isaacson.
