Hamilton Unveils New Cast for Continued Run at West End’s Victoria Palace Theatre

‘Hamilton,’ the acclaimed musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre, has announced a fresh lineup of talent for its ongoing production. Starting June 17, 2024, Alex Sawyer will step into the lead role of Alexander Hamilton, transitioning from his previous position as an alternate. Jay Perry, a familiar face in the production, will take on the role of Aaron Burr.

The new cast includes Nathania Ong as Eliza Hamilton, Thomas Vernal as George Washington, Jordan Castle covering both Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, and Jordan Benjamin in the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. Adam J Bernard will also perform as Alexander Hamilton at selected shows.

The ensemble will see new additions such as Richard Appiah-Sarpong, Turrell Barrett-Wallace, Roxanne Couch, Nicola Espallardo, and others. Manaia Glassey-Ohlson will temporarily portray Aaron Burr from June 17 until August 13, with Perry resuming the role on August 14.

Continuing their roles are Jordan Frazier as Angelica Schuyler and Lemuel Knights as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, alongside others in the ensemble who remain from the previous cast.

‘Hamilton’ has extended its booking period until March 29, 2025, and maintains a robust touring schedule. The production, directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, features the celebrated work of Lin-Manuel Miranda, who crafted the book, music, and lyrics. The musical stages the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, inspired by Ron Chernow’s biography.

The production team includes scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Nevin Steinberg, and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe.

‘Hamilton’ also announced a special festive schedule with multiple performances planned around the end of December and the start of the new year, ensuring fans have ample opportunity to catch the show during the holiday season.
