The Dolly Parton-inspired musical comedy Here You Come Again is heading to London for a special festive season at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith. The production, which celebrates Parton’s greatest hits, will run from December 10, 2024, to January 18, 2025, before embarking on a wider UK tour in 2025.

Featuring beloved classics such as “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You,” the musical follows the heartwarming story of a diehard Dolly fan who imagines the country music legend helping him navigate life’s challenges. The show, authorised by Parton herself, offers a nostalgic yet uplifting experience for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Here You Come Again was co-written by Emmy Award-winner Bruce Vilanch, director Gabriel Barre, and actor-writer Tricia Paoluccio, who also stars as Dolly Parton. The UK run will feature additional material by acclaimed British writer Jonathan Harvey.

Directed by Barre, the production showcases set and costume design by Paul Wills, choreography by Lizzie Gee, and sound by Tom Marshall. Lighting design is by Tim Deiling, with Richard Pinner as illusion designer and orchestrations by Eugene Gwozdz. Teenie MacLeod serves as associate director and assistant choreographer, while Maurice Cambridge manages the orchestra. Ben Arkell is the production manager, and Stuart Burt leads the casting.

Produced by Simon Friend Entertainment and Leeds Playhouse in association with Jenny King, Patrick Gracey, and Vibecke Dahle, the musical promises to capture the charm and spirit of Parton’s iconic career. Full casting for the London performances will be announced soon.

Following its London run, the production will continue its UK tour in 2025, with stops at the Grand Opera House in York, Sunderland Empire, and the New Theatre in Wimbledon, with more dates to be announced.

Fans of Dolly Parton and musical theatre can look forward to a heartwarming and fun-filled evening when Here You Come Again opens this December.
