Bradley Whitford, Tom Blyth And Jasmine Amy Rogers Lead Lincoln Center Theater’s New Broadway Season

Lincoln Center Theater has announced a major Broadway season featuring new revivals of A FEW GOOD MEN and THE SOUND OF MUSIC, bringing two high-profile titles back to New York stages with starry creative teams attached.

Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth will lead the Broadway revival of A FEW GOOD MEN, Aaron Sorkin’s acclaimed courtroom drama. The production will be directed by Michael Arden, whose recent work includes THE LOST BOYSand MAYBE HAPPY ENDING.

The play first premiered in 1989 and became Sorkin’s breakthrough work before he went on to create THE WEST WING and build a major career across stage, film and television. The story follows military lawyer Daniel Kaffee, played by Blyth, as he is assigned to defend two young Marines accused of murder. What begins as a seemingly straightforward case soon reveals the possibility of a deeper institutional cover-up.

The title remains one of Sorkin’s best-known works, due in part to its later film adaptation. Its return to Broadway is expected to draw renewed attention to the play’s tense legal drama, sharp dialogue and questions of loyalty, justice and military authority.

Lincoln Center Theater’s season will also include the first Broadway revival of THE SOUND OF MUSIC in close to 30 years. Jasmine Amy Rogers will star in the new production, which will be directed by Lincoln Center Theater Artistic Director Lear deBessonet. Christopher Gattelli will choreograph.

The return of THE SOUND OF MUSIC gives Broadway audiences a new chance to experience one of the most beloved musicals in the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein catalogue. The show, known for its sweeping score and enduring family story, remains one of the most recognisable titles in musical theatre.

For Rogers, the production marks another major Broadway moment following her rise as one of the industry’s most closely watched performers. Her casting places her at the centre of a revival likely to attract both traditional musical theatre audiences and a new generation of theatregoers.

The season will also extend beyond Broadway, with Matthew Rhys set to star Off-Broadway in PLAYING BURTON. The production adds another notable name to Lincoln Center Theater’s wider programming and continues the company’s mix of major revivals, new interpretations and actor-led projects.

Together, the announcements point to a season built around recognisable titles, major performers and fresh theatrical leadership.
