Alicia Keys’ acclaimed Broadway musical, Hell’s Kitchen, is set to embark on a multi-year North American tour starting this fall. The tour, which will run concurrently with its Broadway production at the Shubert Theatre, will kick off at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square, bringing the powerful, music-filled story to audiences across more than 30 cities in its first year.

The announcement was made by AKW Productions, with additional cities and dates to be revealed in the coming months. Alicia Keys expressed her excitement, calling the Broadway production a fulfillment of a lifelong dream and sharing her joy at expanding the show’s reach to new audiences.

The musical is inspired by Keys’ life and centers on the character of Ali, a 17-year-old navigating the challenges of growing up in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. Searching for freedom and a sense of purpose, Ali’s journey takes a transformative turn when she encounters a neighbor who introduces her to the piano, unlocking a world of passion and self-discovery.

Hell’s Kitchen features music and lyrics by Keys, blending her iconic hits with new compositions. After its world premiere at The Public Theater in October 2023, the show enjoyed a five-week extension due to popular demand, closing its initial run in January 2024. It began Broadway performances on March 28, 2024, and officially opened on April 20, 2024, to rave reviews for its heartfelt storytelling and electrifying score.

With its mix of personal resonance and universal themes, Hell’s Kitchen has struck a chord with audiences, reflecting diverse perspectives and experiences. The upcoming tour promises to extend its impact, delivering Keys’ story of resilience and creativity to fans across the nation.

Tickets for the Cleveland premiere and other tour stops will go on sale soon, with more information available in the coming months. Fans can expect Hell’s Kitchen to bring Alicia Keys’ soulful music and inspiring narrative to stages far and wide.
