Can you tell me about your performance background?

Stellar: I’ve been singing professionally for 22 years. Mostly in bands, writing top lines for producers and session singing. The Lovers was my first musical theatre experience in 2022. Playing Magenta is my second role and absolute privilege.

What has been the biggest challenge in moving from a music career into music theatre?

Stellar: Learning how I learn lines and chore. Once you know how best to lock in new info, it’s all good.

And the most exciting part?

Stellar: The collaborative nature. I love being around like minded people. I like sharing good times and having others to bounce off and play with.

Do you see any of yourself in Magenta?

Stellar: I feel like I’ve managed, or been allowed to, play her as a semi extension of myself. I resonate with her love of voyeurism and her queerness. We’re pretty different but definitely have some similarities.

Do you have a favourite song in the show?

Stellar: Wild and untamed thing. Jase plays Frank w an authentic response ck star-ness that not many could come close to. If any. The choreography is super fun and our dancers are THE BEST…and I just love the song.

Can you summarise Rocky Horror Show in 3 words?

Stellar: Naughty, hilarious, iconic.
