East Meets West Orchestral Concert

Featuring Queensland Symphony Orchestra led by Guy Noble plus guest artists – Concert Hall QPAC

Enjoy a stunning concert combining traditional and contemporary music from the East and West. This one night only performance will include the acclaimed Chinese classics, Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto and Yellow River Piano Concerto, alongside other enchanting works.

This concert will be held in collaboration with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and led by the revered music maestro Guy Noble. The star-studded list of artists includes award winning pianist Tony Lee, violinist Sun Yi, guzheng player Angie Liu, soprano Sharon Zhai and Brisbane-born mezzo soprano Victoria Lambourn.

“Queensland Symphony Orchestra is delighted to be involved in this important concert that celebrates China’s rich cultural and musical heritage, and some of the great artists of Chinese heritage that now call Australia home.” Queensland Symphony Orchestra Chief Executive Craig Whitehead said. “We are also excited to welcome back esteemed conductor, Guy Noble, a much admired part of the QSO family, it is always a pleasure to have him return to conduct the Orchestra.”
