Accio Adulthood - Melbourne Fringe 2015
What was your first encounter with Harry Potter? It’s a question that comes up early in Darcy Dann’s Fringe debut, Accio Adulthood, in which she charts her own history with The Boy Who Lived.
Dann is a performer of considerable charm, making even that most dreaded of theatrical staples, audience participation, *shudder*, palatable. Her choice of material, mostly with lyric rewrites, was also on point, although some of the staging choices could have done with a little more thought from a lighting perspective.
Darcy Dann is a talent to watch out for and I really look forward to seeing what she has in store for us next.
