He Said/She Said

It’s not often you can tell funny-slash-embarrassing stories about your partner, in front of them AND an entire audience, and get away with it.

Radio personalities, comedians, husband and wife team, Stav (Hit105) and Katrina Davidson (612ABC) bear all their hilariously dirty laundry, leaving no bed sheet unturned, all in the name of entertainment. Their debut show He Said She Said, which played at the Brisbane Powerhouse from 10-12 December as part of the Wonderland Festival was an exposé of married life, from the funny side. It’s probably why they’re so obviously still madly in love with each other that you kind of want to stab them.

Proposals, possums, and parenting are topics of debate as we see how Stav and Kat’s fifteen-year relationship has played out, from both points of view. With Kat’s sharp storytelling and Stav’s witty one-liners, the two bounced off each other like a pinball game. Between the structured script and impro as any seasoned comedians would, which kept the flow of the material authentic and fresh.

Produced by Christopher Wayne (aka The Naked Magicians), He Said She Said is a unique concept from husband-wife comedy duo, a very relatable show, and an easy watch.

The Wonderland Festival is still running at the Brisbane Powerhouse until December 20, with plenty of provocative entertainment on offer, including burlesque, circus, cabaret, music, comedy, poetry, theatre and variety shows filled with international and Australian artists.

Whatever you go and see, make sure you turn up thirty minutes early to stroll along the nightly Wonderland Food Markets for a delicious bite to eat, as well as side-show style performance tents filled with a wide-ranging menu of bite-sized entertainment.
