Your Sunday Afternoon Zen: Kirby Burgess sings “Summertime”
It’s getting warmer, the days are longer, it’s not quite summer yet but “Summertime” still seems appropriate for this Sunday afternoon.
Settle in and listen to Kirby Burgess, who has been touring the country playing Baby in Dirty Dancing, where she (sadly!) doesn’t get to sing at all. If you’ve only seen Kirby in that role, you might not know the powerhouse vocals that lie beneath, so prepare yourselves: she’s really something.
Kirby will be joining the cast of Heathers in its Brisbane season as Heather Chandler, and Brisbane, you’re in for a treat.
