Dear World

Following the success of Milk and Honey ticket giveaway this week, we here at AussieTheatre.com are pleased to announce our next ticket giveaway

Members of our mailing list are eligible to win one of two double passes to see Dear World, the second in Magnormos’ Jerry Herman Triptych at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

Written by Jerry Herman with book by Robert E. Lee and Jerome Lawrence, the show originally starred Angela Lansbury (who won a Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical in 1969). When Dear World opened on Broadway, Herman became the only composer/lyricist in history to have three productions running simultaneously on the Great White Way.

Magnormos’ production will feature a newly revised format for this powerful chamber musical.

The show is playing for ONE NIGHT ONLY, Monday July 11 from 8pm, featuring AFI award winning actress Deidre Rubenstein, Jackie Rees (Phantom of the Opera), Grant Smith (The Threepenny Opera) and Maureen Andrew (Billy Elliot). Directed by Scott Hendry with musical direction by Trevor Jones, Dear World will also include choreography by Ben Osborne and Alana Scanlan.
