Whilst many Wicked cast members have flown home, it seems the show could be back on stage within a week as work begins to restore Brisbane and the rest of Queensland following the flood crisis.
The latest news is that the blockbuster musical’s performances on Tuesday and Wednesday have been cancelled, with the show possibly returning to the stage on Thursday.
Harvest Rain’s season of Aladdin and his Mysterious Magical Lamp and the Ballet Theatre of Queensland’s season of Alice in Wonderland will not resume until at least January 22.
“QPAC is now working with the producers and presenters of these shows to reschedule performances for when the Centre is open and operational,” QPAC said in a statement.
“We will be in contact with current ticket holders to exchange your tickets for the new seasons as soon as possible.
“Thank you for your understanding and patience in these difficult times for all Queenslanders.”
