Co-producer John Frost confirmed today that tickets for performances on May 7-9, 2014 will be available for purchase from September 30.

Returning to its Australian home at the Regent Theatre, this production is part of a 10th Anniversary tour celebrating Wicked’s incredible success in Australia and around the world.

As Wicked approaches its 10th birthday on October 30, 2013, nine separate productions are playing around the world (New York, London, Japan (Tokyo), Australia/New Zealand (Auckland), South Korea (Seoul), Latin America (Mexico City),  a UK Tour and two concurrent North American National Tours). Wicked is undoubtedly a cultural phenomenon, boasting over 50 major awards across the globe, including six Helpmann Awards.

Returning to the role which shot her to fame, musical theatre star Lucy Durack will descend on Melbourne as Glinda the Good once more, leading a strong cast featuring a mix of both old favourites and new blood! Jemma Rix will take to the stage as Elphaba, a role she has made her own during the Australian and Asian tour. Joining the Wicked Company in his first musical theatre leading role will be Steve Danielsen as Fiyero, while doyenne of stage and screen, Maggie Kirkpatrick returns as Madame Morrible. Playing Doctor Dillamond will be Glen Hogstrom, the role of Nessarose will be played by newcomer Emily Cascarino and Edward Grey will appear as Boq.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman.
