Smash hit musical Wicked tonight plays its final performance in Brisbane.

The Brisbane season was originally delayed due to damage at QPAC caused by the Queensland floods, but the show eventually reached the stage and was an immense success in the city.

The Wicked journey has not ended in Australia yet, however, with an Adelaide season slated to begin in two weeks and a run in Perth to commence in June.

Wicked is then likely to head overseas with its Australian cast.

In other news, Doctor Zhivago tonight plays its final performance in Sydney ahead of its upcoming Melbourne run and Mary Poppins played one final show in Melbourne last night, due to open in Sydney in May.
