It is not known when the hit musical Wicked will resume performances in Brisbane, with the flood emergency in Queensland continuing.

At least 13 people have died and countless others are missing in the tragedy.

Images coming out of Brisbane are stunning – the CBD covered in water, and in total shutdown.

QPAC, where Wicked is playing, is currently closed and is surrounded by water. The theatre has confirmed that performances of Wicked will not go ahead until at least Saturday.

Producer John Frost said last night that he hoped to be back in the theatre on the weekend.

Australia’s two major television networks – Nine and Seven – continue to suspend normal programming for rolling coverage of the disaster.
