WHISPERS IN THE WINGS podcast launches, giving insights into the career of a Stage Manager

Musical theatre stage managers Joshua Broadbent and Kelly Plank launched a new podcast Whispers In The Wings this week. Focusing on the life of a stage manager, with fun and fascinating insights, the professional podcast is aimed at those new to the industry, or who are curious about the career of a stage manager.

New episodes will drop fortnightly, with each episode divided into two acts. In Act One the hosts dive into a specific topic related to theatre, from rehearsals to tech, touring life, show calling, the good the bad the ugly and so much more. In Act Two they throw to the audience, allowing the listener to ask questions, seek advice and share their own experiences. Questions can be submitted via Instagram @WhispersInTheWings, via email [email protected], or via a voice message that may be played during the episode.

Between the two hosts, there are over 10 years of professional experience in theatre and events, between here in Australia and in the United Kingdom. Joshua has been working professionally as an Assistant Stage Manager within Australia, his credits include The Wizard of Oz, Evita, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Come From Away and 9 to 5.
