A co-production between Two River Theater Company and Folger Theatre, this supernatural and spellbinding production of Macbeth is directed by Emmy-winning magician Teller (of the duo Penn & Teller) and Award-winning Aaron Posner.
Folger Theatre are a subsidiary of Folger Shakespeare Library, and aim to produce The Bard’s plays in new and original ways.
Macbeth tells the story of the eponymous Scottish general, and his descent into madness after receiving prophetic news from three weird sisters. The play has cemented itself as one of Shakespeare’s great tragedies, exploiting those overwhelmed blind ambition and greed.
