Courtney will take on the roll of Jack McLane, the estranged son of John Mclane (Willis), in the next instalment of the successful franchise. According the the studio’s release, the film will be set in Moscow and should allow Jack plenty of opportunities to shoot at Russian bad guys.
A statement released by his agent MMA reads:
“The team at Mark Morrissey & Associates extends a warm congratulations to Jai. Our team at MMA is thrilled because 20th Century Fox held an exhaustive search for this role before offering Jai the part.” Morrissey
Since graduating from WAAPA Courtney’s career has gone from strength to strength appearing in All Saints, Packed to the Rafters and most recently as Varro on the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
The film is due to open in February 2013.
