She is French. She is an international performer, teacher and director. She will perform a fully improvised one-woman show for 5 dates only!

Pauline Calme

After a successful season in Paris, Pauline Calmé will perform in Melbourne at The Butterfly Club, with two special performances in French.

Pauline is a modern people’s court jester. She tells stories, she embodies characters, she interacts with the audience. She is fully here and now, without a fourth wall or a script. Each night, she aspires to create a unique show and a unique experience. The audience doesn’t know what is going to happen, and once it has happened, it will never happen again…

From the outside, it looks like she doesn’t prepare anything. From inside, it’s 10 years of training. She has performed in 150+ professional theatre shows (Improvisation, clown, mask, contemporary and classical). From 2013 to 2018 she performed in the successful long- form improv show Le Fauteuil with the company Smoking Sofa in France. she performed as a clown and physical actress in Requiem for 3 years (2015 to 2017). In 2016, she created and directed Le Fauteuil d’Orchestre, a musical and improvised show. she taught, directed and performed improv in 15 festivals ( NZ Impro Festival 2017, Improvention 2017, Nelson Fringe Festival 2018, Slovenia Kamfest, and festivals in France).

“Each time I perform this show, I experience the magic of empathy. Audiences feel what I feel. The stage becomes my playground, my jungle, my island. It’s up to me, I can do whatever I want! I feel unstoppable, I feel free, I feel wild!” – Pauline Calmé
