The Pirates of Penzance Musical returns to Brisbane

Lynch & Paterson’s critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning new production of The Pirates of Penzance returns to Brisbane from April 16 at the Twelfth Night Theatre in Bowen Hills.

Hailed as a “musical masterpiece”, this production of The Pirates of Penzance promises to hit the spot after a long 12-month dry spell in the Brisbane musical theatre scene.

With two hours of non-stop laughs, mischief, debauchery and romance, it is arguably Gilbert & Sullivan’s finest writing! A hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers and an eccentric Major-General.

It was February last year, just before lockdown, that we did our last production which is far too long! We cannot wait to come back with a bang! says the show’s producer, Lucas D. Lynch. This show is rife with stupidly good fun and a great night out… which I think we are all long overdue for that.

This production includes incredible local talent from Brisbane and is backed by a 16-piece professional orchestra, the Cadenza Chamber Players who are part of the action live on stage.

The performances will be presented at the beautiful Twelfth Night Theatre where ‘every seat is a good seat’.
