The Anywhere Theatre Festival – Registrations closing this week!
Time is running out to register something somewhere for The Anywhere Theatre Festival.
The 2013 Anywhere Theatre festival is happening in a lot of non-traditional theatre spaces, somewhere all over Brisbane: parks, houses, cars, online – anywhere that wouldn’t usually stage a play. Productions can be opera in parks, comedy in backyards, new plays in dining rooms, cabaret in hotels, circus in community halls, Twitter – any performance anywhere as long as it is not a traditional theatre space.
The festival will take place from 8 to 19 May but registrations for artists will close at midnight on 31 January.
If you haven’t heard of Paul Osuch’s creative love-child then here it is in a nutshell:
Anywhere Theatre festival Limited is a Brisbane Based not-for-profit with a vision to propel a world-wide trend for exciting, engaging, passionate theatre outside of traditional theatre spaces.
For comprehensive information about registering for the festival, head to www.anywherefest.com, the possibilities really are endless; Twitter, the back of a van, up a ladder, on the train, in the bath-tub…
