Hayden Tee has won the role of King Arthur in the prestigious Pittsburgh Public Theatre’s production of the Lerner and Loewe musical Camelot.
Tee has only been in America six months and has already gathered raves for his leading role of Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the Penn State Playhouse Theatre.
This new role, considered to be the “Momma Rose” of male roles in the pantheon of music theatre being produced by one of the most acclaimed theatre companies in America (whose previous triumphs have often travelled to Broadway), is a major move forward in this young actor’s career.
Tee is one of the major stars of Australian musical theatre, having appeared in such shows as South Pacific, Titanic and Little Women.
Tee is to return to Australia next month to perform shows in Sydney at the El Rocco Room.
