The Sydney theatre community will pay tribute to the late Matthew Leonard at a special memorial service next week.
Leonard was killed earlier this month when a plane he was travelling in crashed en route to Kokoda.
A WAAPA graduate, Leonard starred in a number of musicals before leaving the theatre industry to follow other career paths.
The memorial service, two days before his funeral in Perth, will be held on Wednesday, September 2 at 1pQm at the El Rocco Room.
“This is the room where Matt performed the cabaret show Emotional Baggage some years ago,” his former agent Les Solomon said.
The memorial service is open to all those who wish to pay tribute to Matthew’s life.
