Sydney Fringe: Your City Unleashed

 Tonight, Sydney will come alive as the 2011 Sydney Fringe Festival officially begins.

 Tonight, Sydney will come alive as the 2011 Sydney Fringe Festival officially begins. For 24 days, over 1,000 performances will take place at 65 different venues throughout the city including Sidetrack Theatre, Newtown Theatre, New Theatre and Seymour Centre. Sydney-siders are encouraged to get “Fringed” all across the city, with new precincts in Leichhardt, Parramatta, Chatswood, Darlinghurst’s Oxford Street and the city centre.
King Street Newtown will be buzzing this evening with a live music stage at The Hub for Newtown Live! as the opening night festivities begin.  This years Festival will feature all things ‘fringe’ from local and international artists, and AussieTheatre.com will be in attendance to bring you coverage of this year’s happenings with reviews galore!  Stay tuned for more information, Sydney!
