Sutton Foster, Aaron Tveit and a host of stars to come together for Defying Gravity concert in Sydney

Producer Enda Markey announced today that Defying Gravity, a concert celebrating the work of acclaimed composer Stephen Schwartz, will premiere at Sydney’s Theatre Royal for two performances on Saturday 13 February 2016.

Headlined by Broadway stars Sutton Foster (Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Aaron Tveit (Les Misérables movie, Next To Normal, Catch Me If You Can), Defying Gravity will also feature renowned West End star Joanna Ampil (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Cats), Helpmann Award winner Helen Dallimore (Blood Brothers, Legally Blonde) and David Harris (Miss Saigon, Legally Blonde).

If that cast wasn’t already enough to get you excited there will also be a very special guest appearance by Tony Award winning Broadway, TV and film icon Betty Buckley (Cats, Pippin, Sunset Boulevard, Carrie).

Stephen Schwartz, will be in Australian for the concert and there will be an exclusive Stephen Schwartz in Conversation with Leigh Sales on stage at the Royal Theatre at 12pm on the 13 February.

He is also a performer, most recently appeared in the Australian tour of Mamma Mia! and previously in the Australian/NZ tour of CATS and Enda Markey's acclaimed production of Blood Brothers.
